I was so fortunate in 2011 to find a position here at La Canada Unified as the full-time speech and language pathologist. I have spent over thirty years working as an itinerant speech therapist, special-day-class teacher, clinical supervisor of an IBI Clinic, Autism Specialist, mentor teacher and behavior specialist. I’ve worked at the preschool level through high school and conducted teacher and parent workshops while implementing the Hanen Program.. My experience has taken me from Los Angeles County to San Bernardino County to Oregon and back again. All of that experience has allowed me to better understand children, the education system, and my field of interest in communication skill development.
My credentials include:
That being said, I love my job! I get to work with marvelous, wise and funny human beings. I get to see children
blossom into self-aware and proud individuals. I get to teach, but also to learn. And believe me, these young people teach me a
lot!
I am available Monday through Friday to answer questions, lend support, offer advise or just talk. I love to work with
parents, classroom teachers and other staff members to build a program of success for each child. So, if there is anything I can do, please send me an email message, call, or just drop by.
Thanks for stopping by the Communication Corner, and remember…
